#1. THRIVING HEALTH

Empowering Seniors to Take Charge of Their Health Naturally

Aging doesn’t mean giving up strength, clarity, or independence. Thriving Health is a Chronic Disease Self-Management Education (CDSME) program designed specifically for older adults. Grounded in the healing movement arts of Pai Lum Tai Chi and Qigong, this evidence-based program supports seniors in managing their health conditions while improving quality of life—physically, mentally, and spiritually. Whether facing arthritis, diabetes, heart disease, or simply the stress of aging, participants will find tools for resilience, balance, and personal empowerment. Thriving Health aims to improve physical balance and strength while strengthening the mind and lifting emotions with interactive Tai Chi play. Delivered in 12 or 24 week intervals, the program is ideal for seniors in a hospital, assisted living, or community setting.

Key Components

  • Gentle Movement Of Tai Chi
Movements are low-impact and accessible for most mobility levels, focused on balance, stability, and intention.

  • Qigong-Based Breathwork
Guided breath sequences calm the nervous system and support respiratory and circulatory health.

  • Interactive Peer Support
Participants build community through shared experiences and learn from each other’s insights.

  • Practical Self-Management Tools
Includes techniques for medication tracking, pain reduction, energy management, and better communication with healthcare providers.

  • Mind-Body-Spirit Integration
Meditation, reflection, and spiritual grounding enhance emotional wellness and life purpose.

Measured Outcomes

  1. Increased confidence in managing chronic illness

  2. Improved balance and reduced risk of falls

  3. Reduction in anxiety, depression, and feelings of isolation

  4. Greater mobility, independence, and daily functionality
